Most of my projects begin with work that consumes too much time or depends on one person knowing every exception. I choose a result worth changing, then build the smallest system that can improve it. A person keeps control of decisions that can materially change the outcome.
Selected work
For Wheel the World, an accessible travel startup, I built an AI image system that made 100GB of unsearchable assets findable in seconds. It passed 100,000 API uses in its first month. I also built HubSpot automation for the marketing team. Response rates doubled, and the team adopted it within two weeks.
For Larta Institute, a federal research accelerator running programs for NOAA and USDA, I worked on making domain-specific documents usable inside its enterprise AI pilot. I designed the hybrid retrieval architecture and delivered the production specification and cost model adopted by the pilot.
For ShoplyAI, I build content infrastructure: an AI-assisted production pipeline with hard constraints against generic machine writing.
What the company gets
The project begins with a business result and a way to tell whether it improved. The architecture comes after that decision.
When the system runs, the company can see what it used and what it did. Review stays practical, and important judgment stays with a person.
The build fits the tools and exceptions already shaping the job. It should remove work from the queue, not add another product someone has to babysit.
Models and vendors will change. I keep company rules and tool access outside the model so the system can change without rebuilding the job.

- I begin with one defined business result or technical problem. If a smaller fix is enough, I will say so before expanding the work.

- I track consulting by the hour and invoice monthly. Hard costs are passed through at cost.
The deliverable can be running software or a technical specification, depending on what the problem needs.
